This Afternoon, not Evenings
There have been a few questions lately as to my whereabouts on ABC radio. For those of you who do not live in NSW or the ACT, I’ve spent the better part of the past two years hosting the Evening shift on ABC local radio. What a job! It’s brilliant.
If there’s a but, and there’s always a but, it meant I also spent the better part of two years – the evenings anyway – with everyone but my family. As anyone that knows me would already apprecite, my family is very important. So a little while ago, the opportunity came up to work on a new program for the Nine Netwrork.
It’s a news program in the afternoons called This Afternoon.
It’s live. It’s from 4:30 to 5:30. It’s from the Nine News team and it’s very exciting.
And This Afternoon is the only reason I left the ABC. It’s not often anyone gets the chance to start something new in TV, especially something that sets out to do all the things you love doing. Live TV, news based, a chance to talk to anyone and everyone AND being able to say goodnight to your kids before they got to sleep, not after.
The show kicks off soon. I hope you can enjoy it with me.
