It’s out.  I saw it in the bookshop window in Albert Park after having coffee with my mum and dad and if there’s a good time to see your own book in a shop window, that would be it.
Oh, darling, said Mum
Did you do that?  said Dad.
Very exciting.  Hopefully you’ll have an oh darling moment when you have a look at it, too.

Coming out in Oct 2009
This is the new book by Andrew and illustrator Jonathan Bentley.    The same tame that brought you I Do It – the picture book inspired by Andrew’s daughter who was pretty sure she could do anything – everything!
Check On Me is in a similar vein and inspired by one of Andrew’s kids.  Jonathan was able to take the text and turn it into something truly beautiful.

This  story deals with the trials and tribulations of young love: crushes, first dates, first kisses and getting the facts-of-life talk from Mum and Dad.
Fergus is growing up and so are his mates.  Including Winona Williams, who Fergus has feelings for, he’s just not that sure what the feelings are all about.
This book will teach you exactly nothing about relationships and being new to them, but it will make you laugh.
Have you thought about what you’re going to do if you get dropped?  What will you say?  How will you …

Andrew Daddo thanks his youngest daughter for ‘I Do It’. Says Andrew ‘She’s a beautiful, headstrong three year old who has always been very good at exerting her independence. She can, as the book suggests, do it. Anything, everything – whether it’s getting a glass of milk or choosing …
